Accessibility Statement
Last updated: July 2026
1. Our commitment
Nexam wants nexamclean.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, enlarge text, or rely on high-contrast or reduced-motion settings. Accessibility is treated as part of building the site, not as a later correction. This statement describes where we actually stand — including what is not yet resolved.
2. Standard we work to
We work towards the European standard EN 301 549, which references the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. This is the standard applicable to e-commerce services under the European Accessibility Act.
3. Current conformance status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. « Partially conformant » means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard, and that we have not yet completed a full independent audit. We are stating this rather than claiming full conformance, because claiming a level we have not measured would be inaccurate.
4. How this was assessed
The current status is based on an internal self-assessment carried out in July 2026. It combined automated checks and manual verification of key journeys: product page, cart, checkout entry, and the main content pages. No independent third-party audit has been carried out to date. When one is completed, this statement will be updated with its date and scope.
5. Known limitations
We are aware of the following, and they are being worked on: • Some secondary text — small labels, badges and captions — sits close to the minimum contrast ratio rather than comfortably above it. • A small number of interface labels use type sizes below the size used for body text, which can be difficult to read at a distance or on small screens. • Some images are still placeholders while final photography is produced. Their alternative text describes the intended subject and will be reviewed when the final images are in place. • Certain decorative motion effects follow the reduced-motion preference, but this has not yet been verified across every component. If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us — see section 7.
6. What we have put in place
• Text alternatives on informative images, and empty alternatives on decorative ones. • Form fields with real associated labels, and optional fields identified as optional in the label itself rather than by colour or position alone. • Keyboard operation of navigation, accordions, sorting controls and the cart, with a visible focus indicator. • Semantic headings and landmarks, with a single page-level heading per page. • A skip-to-content link at the start of each page. • Ratings and other information conveyed by icons are also stated in text, so meaning is not carried by shape or colour alone.
7. Feedback and contact
If you cannot access part of this site, or if something here does not match your experience, write to support@nexamclean.com. Please tell us the page concerned, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or settings you use if relevant. That information lets us reproduce the problem rather than guess at it. We aim to reply during our support hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 Paris time. If a barrier prevents you from completing a purchase, tell us and we will complete it with you by another means.
8. Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may refer the matter to the competent authority in your country of residence responsible for the enforcement of accessibility requirements for services. This statement does not limit any right available to you under applicable law.
9. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared in July 2026 on the basis of the internal self-assessment described in section 4. Nexam is a trading name of RBC Group LLC. Contact: support@nexamclean.com
